The Christian Brothers School Medical room is situated in the Pupil Welfare Area of the school, close to the Mentoring and Counselling rooms. It is easily accessible and open from 8.45am – 4pm and is staffed by the School Nurse.
School Nurses are ideally placed within the school setting, to work jointly with education and health to promote and protect the physical and emotional health and wellbeing of pupils, staff, and visitors to our school.
School Nursing is a confidential service working in partnership with pupils, families, health professionals, voluntary and statutory organisations, with referral to other services, organisations if required.
School Nurses Role
‘My role has always been about the protection, wellbeing and support I can offer our pupils either within the school setting or outside of school when required. This can include anything from acne, to Anaphylaxis, to bullying, self-harm, and everything in between.
Very often a cup of tea, and a listening ear, offers the best help of all.’
