What is Career Shapers? 

This Career Shapers programme is designed for school students in England and Wales Year 10 and 11, NI Year 11 and 12 and Scotland S3 and S4 to get a taste of life at Deloitte. Over three intensive, but great fun, days you’ll immerse yourself in our fascinating world. Learning how to step up into leadership and tackle challenging client projects, networking, Q&A, and skill sessions. Leaving with the potential to apply to a full-time job with us. If you’re excited by the many possibilities on offer at Deloitte, this is a great place to start. 

 

 

 

What skills and academic qualifications do I need?  

Career Shapers is all about helping you to test your talents and see where they best fit, therefore, we don’t require any specific skills for this programme. 

We do have some minimum requirements for you to meet. You will need to be in England and Wales Year 10 and 11, NI Year 11 and 12  and Scotland S3 and S4, and have predicted grades of GCSE English Language Level 4 and GCSE Maths Level 5. 

Duration of the programme, Monday 5th – Tuesday 6th August 2024This programme is virtual, requiring you to join from home for the full duration.  

 

 

 

What kind of work will I do? 

Designed for school students to get excited about the wealth of possibilities on offer here at Deloitte, Career Shapers is a chance to immerse yourself into our friendly, diverse community for three action-packed days.

Seeing how different career paths align to your unique talents and strengths. Taking a closer look at Deloitte life and getting to grips with the different work each of our business lines do. Taking part in immersive case studies, developing life skills, and benefiting from employability sessions that’ll help to set you up for a future career.

  • You will finish the Career Shapers programme with a number of connections at Deloitte.
  • You will learn new skills that will help you in both your personal and working life.
  • You will finish the programme understanding more about Deloitte and with experiences that you can talk about at future interviews.

 

As well as the above you will also have the opportunity to apply and be fast tracked for a Deloitte BrightStart Higher Apprenticeship programme. This opportunity not only allows you to work (fully paid) and secure a degree. You will progress your professional career, gain real world experience and make an impact with a business that’s making an impact worldwide.

Do you need a work permit? To be eligible for this programme you need to be a student in England and Wales Year 10 and 11, NI Year 11 and 12  and Scotland S3 and S4.
