Cairde na mBráithre
In 1861, Omagh CBS opened its doors to its first intake of 121 pupils on the current site of Mount St. Columba’s to the rear of Brook Street. Our school has a rich tradition of providing our students with a broad and balanced curriculum and a wide range of extra-curricular activities to develop the talents, skills and attributes required for their life after Omagh CBS.
As we grow as a school, we are conscious that in an ever-changing society, it is important to protect those assets that we cherish most:
- Our faith
- Our traditions
- Our culture and heritage
Through Cairde CBS, we must continue to make this provision which contributes to an enriched school experience.
We are committed to safeguarding the ethos of our Christian Brothers School for the future, maintaining our historical values and our sense of shared community.
There are challenges ahead for us at Omagh CBS. Meeting the needs of our students within reduced budgets will require additional moral, social and financial support.
As we re-connect friendships, and with your Cairde na mBráithre membership support, we will ensure that our young men carry your story onwards within the spirit of Edmund Rice.
Omagh CBS; serving the community and reconnecting friends since 1861.
