Medical Provision

The Christian Brothers School Medical room is situated a short walk from the Pupil Welfare Area of the school, close to the Mentoring and Counselling rooms.   It is easily accessible and open from 8.45am – 4pm and is staffed by the School Nurse.

School Nurses are ideally placed within the school setting, to work jointly with education and health to promote and protect the physical and emotional health and wellbeing of pupils, staff, and visitors to our school.

School Nursing is a confidential service working in partnership with pupils, families, health professionals, voluntary and statutory organisations, with referral to other services, organisations if required.

“I feel privileged to be serving the young people of my hometown of Omagh and surrounding areas. I have no doubt that  my 13 year nursing career with previous roles as Ward Manager and Senior Nursing Sister in charge of frontline nursing, has prepared me adequately  for this new challenge. I have received such a warm welcome from staff, parents and pupils, all in keeping with the school ethos which focuses on teaching and lifelong learning, caring for one another, the development of the Catholic faith, transformational leadership and a genuine sense of community and partnership. I hope to serve the school community well in the coming year.”
