It is my pleasure to welcome you to the website of the Christian Brothers Grammar School, Omagh — a school with a proud tradition of academic excellence and service to the local community, dating back to 1861.
Today, around 950 boys are enrolled at our school. They join us at age eleven and, over the course of their school journey, grow into caring, confident young men with a strong sense of justice and a commitment to contributing positively to society.
This website offers a glimpse into the vibrant life of our school — a community where academic, social, spiritual, and personal development are all nurtured. Alongside a broad and challenging curriculum, we offer an extensive range of extra-curricular opportunities. Our dedicated staff lead activities across sport, music, drama, art, public speaking, and much more. Gaelic games are a particular strength, with recent successes in both the MacRory and Hogan Cups reflecting our proud sporting tradition.
As a Christian Brothers Grammar School and a member of the Edmund Rice Schools Trust, we are guided by the vision of Blessed Edmund Rice. We are committed to the holistic development of every student, empowering them through high-quality teaching and learning to meet the challenges of the 21st century with confidence, compassion, and integrity.
At the heart of our school is a strong pastoral care system. As ‘Brothers Boys’, we believe success in all aspects of life begins with feeling valued, supported, and engaged. We foster a culture of high expectations, underpinned by positive relationships and the guidance each pupil needs to thrive.
Thank you for visiting our website. I invite you to explore further and discover more about the opportunities and experiences that make our school such a special place.
Mr Stephen Keown, Principal
