3 day Health & Social virtual work experience with Somerset NHS Trust

Duration: 3 Days   13^th – 15^th July 2021

Join a range of Health & Social Care organisations from across Somerset to find out more about working in the sector and the careers that are on offer.

Throughout the three days you will:

• Discover the different clinical roles that are available, such as Operating Department Practitioner, and the non-clinical roles, including IT services.
• Learn about the routes into a career in Health & Social Care.
• Meet representatives from the NHS, Somerset County Council, Somerset Care, St. Margret’s Hospice, and the voluntary sector.

As well as this, you will be working in small groups on a project with the support of individuals currently working in Health & Social Care in Somerset.

The virtual work experience will run from Tuesday 13th to 15th July from 09:00 till 15:00 each day

WHILST WE WELCOME EVERYONE APPLICATION, PLEASE NOTE THAT PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO APPLICANTS WHO ATTEND A SCHOOL OR COLLEGE IN SOMERSET AND WHO ARE APPLYING FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY AS PART OF A FORMAL WORK EXPERIENCE WEEK.

Speakers for Schools Experience Programme have a large selection of virtual work experience currently available. Many of these are with UK companies and pupils from NI are eligible to apply.
