Invitation to National Journalism Conference at Ulster University Coleraine campus

Pupils are invited to attend a national journalism conference we are holding at the Ulster University Coleraine campus on 13 February 2026.

Speakers include UTV’s Paul Clark and political biographer Stephen Walker as well as politicians, editors from radio, TV, newspapers and online. It will appeal to those interested in media, politics and current affairs.

This event is being offered free to secondary school staff and students due to sponsorship from the Garfield Weston Trust. There will also be an optional tour of the £7m Media Centre with TV and radio studios and new newsrooms.

As many schools are on mid-term on this date, students 16 and over can attend individually. But under that age they must be accompanied by a teacher/guardian. Refreshments will be served.
