New Higher Education Community Scholarships – Applications Now Open!
Don’t miss your chance to apply
South West College is offering 10 fully funded Higher Education Community Scholarships, each worth £5,600, paid over two years.
These scholarships are available to students completing their A-Levels or Level 3 qualifications this summer and starting full-time study in September 2026.
As part of our commitment to widening access to Higher Education, this opportunity is open to students from local feeder schools.
- Closing date: 4th September 2026
- Eligibility criteria apply
Applicants should:
Be on target to achieve no less than 112 UCAS points (A-Level, BTEC, OCR Cambridge Technical qualifications).
Have at least 5 GCSEs, including English and Maths at grade C/4 (or University-approved equivalent).
Be in receipt of Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA)
Submit a 500-word statement about their preferred course and reasons why they feel they should receive the SWC Higher Education Community Scholarship Award

Applications will close on 4th September 2026. Please email supporting documents to julie.kelly@swc.ac.uk. Late applications will not be accepted.
Successful applicants for each scholarship will be notified in writing by 11th September 2026.
