Position:                      Gold/HLA Apprentice Worldwide Service Engineer

Location:                      Omagh

Reporting to:               Product and Applications manager

Hours of Work:            39¾ hours per week

 

 

TEREX is offering an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Worldwide Service Engineer to join our global service team. This role is open to Gold or HLA apprentices and is ideal for someone with a strong interest in engineering and heavy machinery who is keen to develop hands‑on technical skills through a structured apprenticeship and real‑world experience. The successful candidate will support the commissioning, servicing, and repair of TEREX equipment while working alongside experienced Worldwide Service Engineers, with a clear pathway to progress into a full engineer role.

 

 

What you’ll do:

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support commissioning, servicing, and repair of TEREX machines in the UK and internationally
  • Assist with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical fault‑finding
  • Carry out inspections, pre‑delivery checks, and basic diagnostics
  • Complete service reports and technical documentation
  • Follow TEREX safety, quality, and service procedures
  • Attend training courses and successfully complete apprenticeship qualifications
  • Represent TEREX professionally when working with customers and dealers

What you’ll bring:

  • Working towards or commencing Gold or HLA apprenticeship qualification through SWC commencing Sept 2026.
  • Strong interest in engineering, machinery, or technical systems
  • Willingness to learn in a hands‑on, practical environment
  • Flexible approach and willingness to travel internationally
  • Good communication skills and professional attitude
  • Basic IT skills
  • Full driving licence (or working towards)

 

Desirable

  • Any hands‑on experience with machinery, vehicles, or servicing
