Almac Work Experience Applications are now open for Year 13 pupils!

Almac’s in-person work experience programme for Year 13 pupils is currently open for application. Details and applications can be made via the following link https://www.almacgroup.com/careers/work-experience-placements/. 

This year we are offering 8 sessions for our work experience programme with closing dates on 4^th October, 20^th December and 26^th February for sessions in Term 1, 2 and 3, respectively.

Day 3 of the placement will allow pupils to gain first-hand experience of scientific, engineering or technology careers at Almac, depending on their area of interest. ICT and Engineering work experience will only be available on specific dates (tbc). Transport between Almac and W5 on Day 3 will be provided, as required.

By participating in our three-day placement programme, pupils will gain an insight into the drug development process and the variety of rewarding career paths available at Almac, both inside and outside the laboratory, through tours, conversations with staff and activities.

We highly recommend that pupils applying for in-person work experience also register for Almac’s Virtual Work Experience Hub, which contains information about drug development, careers at Almac and day-in-the-life videos of staff, as well as some activities and recordings of Live Q&As with staff working in a variety of different areas of Almac. The Hub gives very useful background so that pupils can gain most benefit from the in-person experience.
