Almac – Work Experience Placements

Almac’s work experience placements offer young people a fantastic opportunity to see for themselves what it is like to work in a leading global pharmaceutical contract manufacturing and development organisation.

By participating in Almac’s three day placement programme, pupils will gain an insight into the drug development process, life at Almac and the variety of rewarding career paths available at Almac, both inside and outside the laboratory, through tours, conversations with staff and activities. Pupils will also spend a day in the W5 laboratory, Belfast where they will perform chemistry and biology experiments. Transport from/to Almac and W5 will be provided, as required. The three-day placement programme will run on the following dates for the 2022-23 academic year:

• 7^th-9^thJune
• 13^th-15^thJune
• 20^th-22^nd June
• 27^th-29^th June

Places are limited, applications close February 10th. Pupils are required to have successfully completed the course within Almac’s Virtual Work Experience Hub before commencing the placement.

Almac’s post-primary 3-day placement programme is best suited to pupils who have completed their GCSEs.
