Role Title: Apprentice Quantity Surveyor
Start Date: August 2025
Location: Belfast
Job Description:
Tetra Tech have an opportunity for trainee quantity surveyors to join the Cost Consultancy team to assist in all cost and procurement management processes. This position will include day release to complete a fully funded professionally accredited BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying at a local university.
This position offers an exciting paid placement opportunity where you can gain invaluable ‘hands’ on experience and gain a degree.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Cost planning and initial estimating
- Assisting in the preparation of tender and contract documents
- Fund monitoring and due diligence
- Assisting in the management and delivery of construction projects
- Working closely with Clients, Architects, Structural Engineers and Project Managers
- Assisting with a range of pre and post contract surveying duties
Qualifications/Skills requirements:
- Compliance with the university’s minimum points requirements (3 A’levels including Maths and English, 112 UCAS points or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 GCSE’s grade 9-4 (A*-C) or equivalent including English Language and Maths
- MS Office skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self Motivated
- Hold a full, clean UK driving license or working towards obtaining one and ideally access to a vehicle
