Following on from last year’s inaugural STEAM event, both the Art and Technology Departments teamed up to celebrate the success of our current GCSE, AS and A2 ‘A’ level in the form of an Exhibition of Works. The event was attended by parents, students and teachers on Monday 20th June 2016.

All two Art rooms and the A level centre were transformed into exhibition spaces and displayed the excellent talents and efforts of our students. On display was a fascinating range of expressive and creative artworks demonstrating the wide range of specialisms on offer in the Art and Technology Departments. An eclectic exhibition was enjoyed by all, with exceptional examples of Fine Art Drawing & Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture, Ceramics, Graphic design and computer imaging as well as Textiles.

In the A Level Centre, work from our suite of GCSE subjects (Technology & Design, Construction, Engineering and Manufacturing) dominated the large space and was complimented by our AS and A2 Technology practical projects. The work that was on display accounted for 30%-50% of the overall pupil marks in their respective subjects and parents were astounded at the high quality of workmanship achieved by their sons.
