On Thursday 11th November, Year 14 pupil Barry Teague walked through the school reception with a beaming smile and clutching an impressive trophy.   Barry has just been crowned the U17 World Irish Dancing Champion. An amazing achievement which is a fitting reward for the many years of sacrifice and hard work Barry has dedicated to his craft.

There were further successes for Year 11 pupil Eoghan McKenna who claimed the runner up spot in the U15 category and Year 8 pupil Cormac Darcy who achieved 4th place in the U11 grade.

The CBS is delighted to have had pupils, past and present, competing in all age groups in the competition against dancers from around the world. We are so proud of you all.

Mr McConnell congratulates Barry, Eoghan and Cormac on their amazing success last week in the An Comhdhail World Dancing Championships in Killarney.
