British Airways – Engineering Virtual Work Experience

Join us for a 3-day virtual work experience placement between 29th June – 1st July. This 3-day placement will give you an introduction to how our engineering department works within a commercial airline. Follow our engineers and apprentices on their daily tasks, where you’ll also get a taste of what it’s like to be up close and personal with a large fleet of aircraft.

Across the 3-day placement, you will gain:

• An insight into the importance of health and safety within engineering
• Understanding of the different departments within engineering and how they all work together to ensure our planes take off on time
• The difference between the hangar and the workshop environment
• And much more!

You’ll be given information about the different pathways to start an engineering career. We aim to make the placement as interactive as possible so across the 3 days we will get you involved with different activities to develop your understanding of engineering. The virtual placement will take place 10am-3pm each day.

Speakers for Schools Experience Programme have a large selection of virtual work experience currently available. Many of these are with UK companies and pupils from NI are eligible to apply.
