CBS claim MacCormack Cup with ruthless dismissal of St.Pats Armagh

Omagh CBS have claimed the 2019 Ulster Schools MacCormack Cup with an emphatic 1-17 to 0-9 win over St.Patrick’s Armagh. 

The Tyrone school emerged out of the blocks sharpest racing into an early 1-6 to no score lead with six different scorers including Mark Hayes, Liam Gray and Daniel Fullerton.

Sean McDonagh finishing a fine flowing move into the net on 18 minutes before Justin Kieran opened the Armagh account, one minute later.

Dillon Horsfield, Ruairi McDonald and Kieran pointed to cut the deficit at the break as Omagh CBS led 1-8 to 0-5.

Liam Gray led the CBS charge in the second half finishing with 0-7 points as Justin Kieran tried to drag the Orchard side back into the game.

Omagh will be hoping that they can follow in the footsteps of St.Ronan’s, Lurgan who claimed the McCormack Cup before claiming the MacRory Cup in March seeing off the challenge of St.Mary’s Magherafelt.
