Christian Brothers’ Grammar Omagh is celebrating achieving ‘Microsoft Showcase School’ status for the eighth time, with six staff again certified as ‘Innovative Educators’ in online learning and classroom use of digital technology.

Principal Foncy McConnell enthused, ‘We encourage digital innovation in staff, supported by Christopher Eccles and Kyra Crawford (IT Technicians), Donna Vaughan (C2K), Hugh Meenagh (Microsoft) and our Board of Governors. We build on the excellence within Mrs S McLaughlin’s ICT department, and the ongoing eLearning progress of our staff, led V.P. Mr N Donnelly and his progressive team of fellow Microsoft Experts, Mrs S Darcy, Mrs U Doherty, Mr A McMenamin, Mr F Moriarty, and Mrs E Pearson.’

The Christian Brothers’ Grammar has already been certified as a Digital School, a Department of Education promoted award, which accredits schools which incorporate digital technologies.
