The Role
Almac Diagnostics are pleased to offer a degree apprenticeship in quality management. This is an excellent opportunity to earn a degree and gain valuable experience in the industry.
The apprentice will, for the duration of the apprenticeship scheme, learn and assist with various tasks in the Quality Management (QM) team.
The principle function of the Quality Management team is the review of documentation and data to verify compliance with internal procedures and cGMP, ensuring any deviations are identified and resolved.
To achieve this the Degree Apprentice – QM will work as part of a team of Associates gaining an understanding of the Diagnostics Division’s Quality System and technical knowledge in the manufacture and packaging of clinical trial assays and kits. They will apply this knowledge and gain competence in the review of documentation to ensure that product is produced in accordance with the relevant SOPs, client requirements and cGMP. They will be required to develop soft skills under the guidance and direction of an assigned mentor and learn how to promote continuous improvement whilst ensuring there is adherence to cGMP, Almac SOPs and Policies.
Key Requirements
Applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK OR possess a valid work permit that will allow you to take up full time, employment in the UK
Essential Criteria
- GCSE (or equivalent) Mathematics and English Language Grades A – C
- Level 3 qualification e.g., BTEC Level 3, 2 A levels, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (or expected to achieve qualification in Summer 2024)
- Previous experience working as part of a team in either a work, social or academic setting.
Desirable Criteria
- Third level qualification in a science subject and / or Business Studies OR 3 A levels or equivalent
- Work experience gained in a customer service role
