What does this team do?

Our global Human Capital practice unlocks human potential for individuals, organisations and society, by connecting human experience with technological advancement in an ever changing, volatile world. Our HCaaS business sits within Human Capital, a practice that brings leading-edge tooling, research and analytics expertise together with deep industry knowledge, to deliver innovative and complex transformation programmes for our clients.

The service areas our BrightStarts can join are as follows:

 

Programme Management Office (PMO)

Our PMO Centre of Excellence supports our client’s largest and most complex programmes. We work at the heart of the transformation programmes, working with senior stakeholders to facilitate meetings and workshops, helping them to make effective decisions.

We work with clients across all industry sectors (Public, Private and Finance) to deliver their most important programmes and helping them to achieve their goals. We help our clients manage their programme’s from start to finish, including setting up and managing programme plans, risk and issue management and progress reporting.

As part of the PMO team you will be supporting our clients by tracking progress across their programmes and projects, helping manage risks and issues on key deliverables and working as part of a team to create progress reports to share with Senior Executives across the programme.

 

Organisation & Workforce Analytics (OWA)

Our OWA Team works with clients to understand their business-critical challenges and uses the power of data analysis to build solutions to resolve them. We do this by combining our core analytical & consulting skillset with tools, solutions and accelerators to supercharge organisations. Our services include Strategic Workforce Planning, Analysing the Future of Work, Organisational Design Analytics, Sentiment Analysis, Reward Analytics and Data Capture and Insight.

As an OWA analyst you would be helping to provide our clients with data driven insights that will underpin key strategic decisions throughout the transformation life cycle. Analysts will be developing valuable analytical and visualisation skills through the creation of interactive dashboards and data analysis.

 

Enablement and Adoption 

Our Enablement and Adoption (otherwise known as Change Management) team is a fast growing, multi-disciplinary team employing consulting professionals with experience across several areas such as business transformation, programme delivery and training development. We have grown to become the largest Change Management practise in Northern Ireland with 55 specialists, highlighting the immense talent that we currently have within the team.

The Enablement and Adoption team sits within our Human Capital as a Service team and works with clients to deliver the people, behavioural and culture change associated with technology and digitally-enabled business transformation. We provide our clients with the advice and delivery support that they need throughout the entire cycle of their transformation programmes.

As part of the E&A team you will support with assessing, planning, supporting, or delivering business change solutions that are not only innovative, but deliver the most positive impact for all.

 

 

What skills and academic qualifications do I need? 

You’ll need to have obtained or be studying towards at least 104 UCAS points (260 UCAS points pre-2017) for your top 3 A levels (or equivalent) to be eligible for this programme.

In this role you will study towards:

  • PMO/OWA/E&A – Ulster University BSc Hons in Business Technology Degree qualification.

You will attend Ulster University for one day a week during term time and outside of term time you will work 5 days a week.

This is a degree apprenticeship; therefore, you need to have not already completed a degree.

 

 

What kind of work will I do?

Every project is different, but some examples of responsibilities include: ​

  • Creating a variety of meaningful and innovative deliverables for our clients including materials for workshops, communications, project plans and progress reporting.
  • Participating in project workshops and meetings alongside our clients – contributing to discussions, taking actions and minutes.
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships by providing exceptional service, understanding their needs and consistently exceeding their expectations with your innovative solutions.
  • Providing expert advice and assistance to our clients, tailored to their transformation needs.

In addition to project work, you will have the opportunity to get involved with HCaaS in other ways:

Proactively supporting our business development by getting involved with internal HCaaS teams including Community, Learning and Development and Wellbeing. There is something for all interests.

Working on new business activities, such as bids for new client opportunities. Getting involved with our Sector communities, building out our offerings to clients and helping to promote our team to the market.

Our HCaaS Analyst Committee work directly with our Leadership Team to ensure our Analysts Community has a voice within HCaaS. If you join as a BrightStart  you will have an opportunity, alongside your peer group to get involved and have your say.

How will I develop?

Our BrightStart Programme gives you the opportunity to learn project-based experience, working as part of our Client and Project delivery teams alongside gaining an Honours Degree at Ulster University.  

As well as learning key consulting skills, you will get the opportunity to learn new skills specific to the Craft that you join within HCaaS. HCaaS’ dedicated Learning & Development team ensures that a wide variety of training courses including professionals certifications are offered to everyone.  

Our Sector Communities including Public, Private and Finance also offer the opportunity to upskill your knowledge in the market allowing you to better understand the clients you work with.
