Entrepreneurship has a strong track record in Northern Ireland and plays a key role in helping to maintain a robust economy – maximising innovation, creating good jobs, and helping to drive economic growth in a sustainable way.
The Careers Occupational Information Unit has published an updated, two-part Entrepreneurship bulletin exploring the wide range of entrepreneurship career options available and the ecosystem which exists locally to support entrepreneurial activity.
The bulletin explores a wide range of relevant topics, including:
- The different kinds of entrepreneurship, and the career opportunities available
- Information on support available for entrepreneurs – spanning every stage of the entrepreneurial journey
- Advice for those considering an entrepreneurial career path
Through a blend of short articles, infographics, and video clips, it shares valuable insights from a range of local entrepreneurs, as well as perspectives from organisations, colleges and universities that facilitate and support entrepreneurial activity locally. The bulletin also debunks some commonly-held myths around entrepreneurship, and contains information on relevant course provision and links to useful websites, to support further research.
The information contained in the bulletin will be useful to aspiring entrepreneurs and those seeking to develop their entrepreneurial skills.
