Experience Physics at Queen’s University!

Registration is now open for our annual Experience Physics event , which will take place in person between 17 – 19 June 2026 in the Main Physics Building at Queen’s University Belfast. The aim of this event is to give you the opportunity to find out a bit more about Physics beyond school level and is open to students of Maths & Physics at AS Level (or equivalent) only.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided to all who attend.
Schedule (Subject to change):
10:00 – 10:30 – Welcome
10:30 – 11:30 – Research talk by a member of staff
11:30 – 12:30 – Meeting with current students and tour of teaching labs
12:30 – 13:00 – Lunch (provided)
13:00 – 13:30 – Introduction to practical session
13:30 – 16:00 – Practical activity and tours of research labs
16:00 – 16:30 – Wrap up and closing session.

(Please note that this event is NOT an individual work experience placement, and that as the programme is the same each day, you need only attend once.)
