Ernst & Young logo-340

Help local and international businesses find better ways of doing tax while you progress towards becoming a tax advisor.

What is Tax at EY?

Tax affects every aspect of our lives and laws are always changing. EY help local and global organisations, from start-ups to influential multinationals, manage every element of their business’s tax.

What will you be doing?

  • Working across various specialist tax teams within UK and Ireland
  • Working directly on tax reporting, technical research and data analysis alongside senior colleagues
  • Building important relationships with clients

Are you eligible to apply?

EY operate an open access to all policy and don’t screen out any applications only on your academic performance at GCSE or A-Level. However, you’ll need a minimum of Level 2/GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language & Maths and to have completed three A-levels or equivalent by the time the programme starts. It is therefore important that you provide us with your top three obtained or accurately predicted A-Levels (or equivalent) as these will be verified and considered as part of the offer process should you be successful. Any drop in grades could jeopardise your offer of employment.

Belfast Deadlines:

Applications: Friday 26th February 2021

Online Assessments: Monday 1st March 2021

EY Experience Days: Will be held throughout  February – March 2021

It is highly recommended that you complete the stages for this programme as soon as possible

How’s it structured?

Developing your understanding of local and international tax laws is at the heart of this apprenticeship. After an EY induction you’ll join your team where you will specialise in a particular area of Tax.Wherever you’re based, you’ll be learning on-the-job, have access to coaching and training opportunities and lots of support from your team, too. In your first year you’ll also begin working towards your professional qualifications. All apprentices will study for a CFAB qualification, which leads to full ACA qualification with a potential further option to complete the CTA.  Over the course of the apprenticeship you’ll build invaluable business skills and knowledge that will ready you for a brilliant career, wherever you set your sights.

Dependant on your location, salaries start from £18,150 per year.
