Free Medical and Dental School Conferences and Work Experience

I want to share some incredible free opportunities for students interested in becoming doctors or dentists. These will be very useful for personal statements, UCAT and interviews.
Following their attendance at our Free Virtual Get Into Medicine or Get Into Dentistry conference, students can speak directly to doctors, dentists and medical and dental students, unlocking a wealth of support:
– Gain valuable free medical/dental work experience
– Volunteer with us by helping raise money for the Royal Medical Benevolent Fund or BDA Benevolent Fund
– Access free weekly webinars to boost their wider-reading knowledge on ethics and current affairs
– Access to a free Study Skills and Revision E-learning that they can include for question 2 on personal statements
– Access medical/dental extracurricular activities to stand out
– Explore opportunities to apply for medical/dental school scholarships and awards
– Develop a comprehensive understanding of the application process to become a doctor or dentist

Students and parents will have the opportunity to learn about personal statements, entrance exams, interviews and meet some of our successful students to learn from their experiences. Following the conference all students will instantly be enrolled onto the free virtual work experience programme.
Dates:
Get Into Medicine: Saturday 10th January, 9am – 1:30pm or Saturday 24th January, 9am – 1:30pm
Get Into Dentistry: Sunday 11th January, 9am – 1:30pm
All aspiring doctors/dentists in years NI11-13 are invited to register.

10:10am – Break (Q&A optional) 10 minutes
10:20am – Competition Ratios, Entry Requirements, Work Experience, Volunteering, Guided Pathways
10:55am – Break (Q&A optional) 10 minutes
11:05am – Personal Statements, Extra and Supra-curricular activities
11:30am – Top Tips from a Successful Applicant (Current Med/Dent Student)
11:45am – Break (Q&A optional) 10 minutes
11:55am – UCAT entrance exam
12:25pm – Break (Q&A optional) 10 minutes
12:35pm – Medical/Dental school interviews & Comprehensive Application Support
1:00pm – Successful Medical/Dental Applicant (Current Student)
1:15pm – Final Q&A and attendance link for certificates
