Working as part of the existing Operations team, Dunbia require a Trainee Manager to support the Shift Operations Manager in managing all areas of our Retail Processing and Packing team, while developing their career in the food manufacturing industry and make a positive contribution to the Company’s future growth. This opportunity will be offered as a Higher Level Apprenticeship in Food and Drink Manufacture with training at CAFRE, Loughry Campus
The role:
Reporting to the Operations Shift Manager, this position will involve training in all departments throughout our Retail Operations team to ensure the efficient organisation and running of each department to help maintain and improve upon our high standards of customer service, health, safety and food safety and quality. The successful candidate will also develop a thorough understanding of the roles of other departments across the business and how these teams work together to meet the needs of our customers and further grow the business.
This position would be suitable for someone keen to develop their career in a fast-paced environment. Someone with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team, with good planning and organisational skills accompanied by excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal and IT skills.
The successful candidate will be supported through a robust training programme.

Essential –
Highly motivated, ambitious and commercially minded

Strong communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Experience of Microsoft Office
Ability to adapt to change in a highly competitive fast paced environment
Understanding of team dynamics, demonstrating the ability to work as an active and constructive member of a team with a professional enthusiastic attitude
The successful candidate must, by the commencement of employment, have the right to work in the UK.
Desirable –
Previous experience in manufacturing, particularly food or meat
Qualification in a Business or Agri-Food related discipline
