On Monday 20th January we held a Key Stage 3 & Key Stage 4 assembly to recognise the achievemnets of a special group of footballers. Having claimed the Rannafast title prior to Christmas our Year 11/12 group have won 4 Ulster Schools GAA titles in a row. This feat has never been achieved in the school before.
This group have claimed the D’Alton Cup, Corn na nOg Cup, Oisin McGrath Cup and now the Rannasfast Cup.
An extremely dedicated and talented group, laced with leaders, this team have represented the school with great distinction through the years.
18 players, pictured below, have been on board for all 4 victories.
Fintona’s Diarmuid Martin has the distinction of being the captain of all 4 winning teams. Diarmuid is pictured below proudly displaying his Ulster schools medals and the trophies collected over the 4 year period.
We are extremely proud of the achievements of this group and we are excited to see what they will achieve in their MacRory Cup campaign.
