Join Vodafone for a week-long virtual work experience programme where you’ll design your own Internet of Things connected device, whilst learning about key business areas! You’ll hear from inspirational Vodafone leaders and learn what it takes to launch a brand new digital product, developing key skills across a variety of domains.

The programme will take place between 15th February 2021 and the 19th February 2021 and involves 15 hours of activity with 3 hours of work each day.

The agenda is:

During the week you will attend a series of live webinars, panel discussions, learning content, and team workshops. You’ll work on developing a new Vodafone product whilst learning about the variety of business areas involved in the process across Technology, Digital, Marketing and Consumer. You’ll also access workshops to develop essential employability skills and careers awareness to set you up for success.

You will cover:

  • Who Are Vodafone? – You’ll learn about key areas of Vodafone’s business from Digital, Technology, Brand & Marketing, Consumer and Sales. You’ll meet diverse professionals from the different business areas and hear inspiring career stories.
  • Innovators Project – Using your knowledge of the business and passion for Technology, you’ll design an Internet of Things connected device. Working through key stages of the development process (Product Design, User Experience, Big Data & Analytics, Marketing and Sales) you’ll take your idea from a design through to launch day.
  • Skills for success – Discover the key skills that will equip you for a successful career from emotional intelligence to teamwork and networking skills.
  • Future Careers – Hear from our Apprentices and Graduates, take an application and CV building masterclass, and find out the practical next steps you can take to begin your career on a Vodafone youth programme.

Eligibility

To apply for this programme you must attend a school or college in the UK and be in Year 13/14 (NI). Applications will close on February 1st 2021 and all applicants will hear back on the evening of February 5th 2021.
