Irish Chemistry Olympiad

On Saturday 5th March Year 14 students Damien Teague and Paul Conway attended the finals of the Irish Chemistry Olympiad in Dublin City University (DCU). Both students performed very well with Damien securing 3rd place. Competition was fierce with 110 competitors attending from across Ireland. A bronze medal put Damien in a position to attend the International Chemistry Olympiad finals held in Georgia this summer. However due to safety precautions and funding issues with DCU Ireland have withdrawn from the competition.
