Our highly-regarded scheme now gives the opportunity to work for us as a Workday Financials Apprentice four days per week, while studying for a part time degree in Finance Technology one day per week, with Ulster University, Jordanstown, completing your degree in just four years.

Our consultants are fully certified in Workday and have high levels of experience in the ecosystem. They work with our clients from throughout the world to implement and optimize their Workday solutions to maximise the value from our clients’ Finance, HR and Payroll functions.

Main purpose of the role & responsibilities in the business:

As a Workday Financials Apprentice at Kainos, you will work and learn with us as part of a team building our business and then developing solutions within our real projects, learning all about our many Workday Projects and Customers.

You will be fully supported by experienced colleagues in the team as well as an experienced mentor, who will provide training and mentoring throughout your studies. You’ll also get experience across a wide range of teams and projects, with built-in rotations to help you learn and work out which element of our Business best suit your skills.

You’ll have a genuine enthusiasm for anything “tech”, an interest in business/finance and be able to really show this, both within and outside of your studies
You’ll be able to show us your teamworking skills – everyone in Kainos works in tight-knit teams, so this is crucial.

Our consultants are creative – you’ll be able to show us your skills for coming up with new ideas and ways of doing things, how you’ve solved problems and looked at things differently.

Minimum (essential) requirements:

You’ll need to have GCSE Maths and English (A to C), or equivalent, and at least a BTEC Extended Diploma or 2 B’s in A-levels or equivalent, at least one of which needs to be in a relevant STEM subject such as: –

  • Mathematics
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Computer Science/Software Systems Development
  • ICT/Digital Technologies

This opportunity runs in partnership with Ulster University Jordanstown and the BSc Hons Financial Technology degree course.
