MacRory & Hogan Cup Celebration Night

s O Neill news

On Saturday 29th April a large crowd of proud family members, club representatives, board of governors, staff and former Principals gathered at the Silverbirch hotel, Omagh to celebrate the success of our all-conquering MacRory and Hogan Cup champions.

An extremely enjoyable night began with welcome music from our school traditional group to greet the arriving quests. Various party games took place and prizes distributed while the hotel laid on an excellent meal. Our guest speaker and former pupil, Stephen O’Neill shared some valuable advice to the squad before presenting them with their All-Ireland medals. Stephen asked the players to ‘choose wisely’ as they face many important decisions in the years that lye ahead. A simple message when choosing if an action/decision was right or wrong was to ‘consider if it would make your parents proud’. As a parent Stephen stated it takes very little to make a parent proud of their child.

Coaches, Mr McNulty and Mr McNabb, spoke fondly of their experience of working with an extremely talented and hardworking group.

Local DJ Cathal Grimes kept the dancefloor full with his eclectic mix of music.

The school would like to thank all those who worked so hard to make this night a memorable and enjoyable experience for all involved.
