NHS Healthcare Work Experience

All aspiring healthcare workers ages 14 – 18 are encouraged to register for this as soon as possible if they haven’t done so already.
Securing in-depth work experience is a game-changer for students looking to enhance their CVs and make a strong impression on university applications. Beyond just gaining insights from real-world work, students will also experience a boost in confidence, laying the foundation for their journey towards becoming healthcare professionals.

During the work experience day, students will hear from an exciting guest speaker and then follow 2 patients from their initial presentation to recovery. They will gain a unique insight into how patients interact with a variety of healthcare professionals and what it’s like to work in an NHS multidisciplinary team.
This includes:
– Nursing
– Midwifery
– Paramedicine
– Physiotherapy
– Occupational Therapy
– Dietetics
– Radiography
– Prosthetics and Orthotics
– Speech and Language Therapy
– Pharmacy
The guest speaker for this session is Sarah Trevannah, an experienced nurse, who will share invaluable insights into her nursing career journey. Sarah’s firsthand account promises to provide you with a unique perspective on the life of an Allied Health Professional (AHP).
Once they’ve registered, students will be emailed links to their virtual work experience portals.
Students are awarded a Work Experience Certificate for every session they complete. Those who complete the full 6-month programme will be awarded a Highly Commended Reference from the Presidents of Allied Healthcare Mentor. These are fantastic additions to CVs!

Students can register individually at any time throughout the 6-month programme using the link below. We recommend booking early to gain as much out of this programme as possible. Places are £10 a session to cover administrative and technological costs.
