NI Water are now recruiting apprentice Project Control Engineers

Higher Level Apprenticeships

Successful apprentices will complete a five-year programme that offers the ability to earn while you learn, working towards a foundation degree in digital construction, construction engineering and surveying or civil engineering debt free! We will even subsidise the cost of driving lessons to help you truly get in the driving seat of your career.

Additionally, you will benefit from outstanding training and development, work towards gaining professional qualifications and develop your skills, knowledge and experience alongside industry experts.

Following completion of the Apprenticeship programme, successful Apprentices will have the opportunity to progress to more senior specialist and management roles subject to performance.

Entry Requirements:

The following Essential Criteria includes the entry requirements for the L5 Foundation Degree. Applicants MUST:

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  1. 18+ years of age by 16th August 2021.
  2. Have achieved a minimum of five passes at GCSE Grade C and above, which must include Mathematics and English Language.
  3. Have achieved 2 x A level (or equivalent qualification) one of which to include Maths as follows:
    • A minimum of 48 UCAS points achieved to enrol for Level 5 Foundation Degree in Construction Engineering and Surveying at NRC or Level 5 Foundation Degree in Digital Construction at SRC.
      Or
    • A minimum of 56 UCAS points to include Grade D in Mathematics or Physics or equivalent to enrol for Level 5 Foundation Degree in Civil Engineering at Belfast Metropolitan College
      *There may be an opportunity to avail of a relevant L5 Foundation Degree course in an alternative regional college*
  4. Be eligible to live and work in the UK.
  5. Demonstrate good time management and organisational skills.
  6. Demonstrate ability to work in a team and communicate effectively to a variety of audiences.
  7. Have knowledge in use of digital tools such as email and Microsoft office eg MS excel, word and powerpoint.
  8. Have access to transport to enable attendance at college courses.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

  1. Hold a full, current driving license
  2. 3 A Levels (or equivalent qualifications) including Maths and Science
  3. Voluntary/work experience of at least 2 months relevant to role.
