Omagh CBS students excel in their GCSEs 2022

Students at Omagh CBS have again produced exceptional GCSE results. With over 1,300 GCSE results arriving in the school during the last week, with over 99% of Omagh CBS GCSE students having achieved five or more GCSEs between A* and C.  95% of Omagh CBS GCSE students have achieved seven or more GCSEs between A* and C, making their results among the best for grammar schools in Northern Ireland.

Twenty three Omagh CBS students achieved eight A grades or better in their GCSEs. Sixteen pupils achieved nine or more Grade A or A* in their GCSE Subjects;

Conor McKenna, pictured with Mr Foncy McConnell, Principal and Mr Jim Murray, Head of School for Years 11 & 12, achieved 10 A* grades;

Aidan Gormley, pictured with Mr Foncy McConnell, Principal and Mr Jim Murray, Head of School for Years 11 & 12 achieved nine A* grades and an A grade.

Cormac Donnelly and Toms Janaitis achieved eight A* grades and 2 A grades.  Shea Daly achieved 7 A* grades and 3 A grades.

Omagh CBS Principal, Foncy McConnell, commended the outstanding achievements saying, “All of our GCSE students are challenged by giving them the opportunity to complete ten GCSEs, and despite the challenges for learning and teaching over the past academic year I commend our students on their excellent results.
