If you’re in Year 12 (Year 13 in NI and S5 in Scotland) and you’re keen to understand how you can progress your career in the world of business, accounting or technology at PwC, our Virtual Insight Week offers you a fantastic opportunity to do just this. During this action packed week you can choose from a range of sessions covering Accounting, Business, Technology and your career development. You’ll also have the chance to connect with our people and hear their stories.

The programme will run virtually across five days from Monday 26 July – Friday 30 July 2021.

Join PwC and together we can reimagine the possible.

Working together, staying connected, shaping our future.

Please note: please only submit an expression of interest if you meet the eligibility criteria below. We will then contact you and let you know if you have been invited to apply directly with PwC – the deadlines for this are very strict. You will need to complete your full application by the 16th June.

Eligibility Criteria:

You should only apply if you currently attend a state school (selective or non-selective) AND the school has higher than average Free School Meals

OR

your GCSE school had higher than average FSM OR you are currently or have been eligible in the past 6 years for Free School Meals

OR

your parents have no degree

AND

You are in year 12 (year 13 in NI) and on track for a minimum of 96 UCAS points.

Throughout the Virtual Insight Week (Monday 26 July – Friday 30 July 2021), you’ll have the opportunity to gain lots of valuable skills, and explore your career options with PwC. You may be interested in doing an apprenticeship, going to university, or you’re still not sure, and you simply want to find out more about PwC and the different areas of PwC that you could join. The Virtual Insight Week will help you to answer these questions by giving you an insight into lots of our different business areas, and you’ll hear from staff who have joined PwC through a range of pathways and programmes.

You’ll get to try out some of these different business areas for yourself through interactive workshops and demonstrations. Some of the technical skills sessions will be differentiated so that you’re able to select either a ‘beginner’ or ‘advanced’ level based on your individual experience of a topic. You’ll also take part in a variety of skills sessions on topics such as wellbeing, resilience and personal values. These sessions will equip you with the skills and knowledge to help you succeed with a future application to PwC and beyond.

We’ve created a selection of virtual sessions for you: a mixture of both live and pre-recorded sessions for you to work through during the week. You’ll also be given an exciting project to work on, where you’ll be playing the role of a business consultant. Working virtually in a team, you’ll undertake research and produce your own proposal for the client, which you’ll then be able to share with PwC.

Programme highlights:

  • An introduction to PwC
  • Hear from people at PwC about their roles and careers
  • Project-based experience and insight into the type of work we do
  • Opportunities to develop key employability skills
