QUB Experience Maths 2026

Experience Maths at Queen’s University!

Registration is now open for our new Experience Maths event, which will take place in person on 22 & 23 June in the Main Physics Building at Queen’s University Belfast. The aim of this event is to give you the opportunity to find out a bit more about Maths beyond school level and is open to students of Maths at AS Level (or equivalent) only.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided to all who attend.

Schedule (subject to change):
10:00 – 10:30 – Welcome
10:30 – 12:00 – Research talk and practical session with a member of staff
12:00 – 13:00 – Lunch (provided) and meeting with current students
13:00 – 14:30 – Research talk and practical session with a member of staff

14:30 – 15:00 – Break (refreshments provided)

15:00 – 16:15 – Research talk and practical session with a member of staff
16:15 – 16:30 – Wrap up and closing session.

(Please note that this event is NOT an individual work experience placement, and that as the programme is the same each day, you need only attend once.)
