QUB -Pathway Opportunity Programme

Queen’s University are starting their pupil recruitment for the 2026 Queen’s Pathway Opportunity Programme, and would like to invite eligible Year 13 pupils to apply.
What is the Pathway Opportunity Programme?
The Pathway Opportunity Programme supports students in Year 13 who come from underrepresented backgrounds, especially first-generation university applicants, to progress to higher education.
The programme includes a number of structured events between January – September 2026 including a week-long summer school that promotes and supports progression to Queen’s University. Students choose one of 13 Pathway subject areas when applying, and throughout the programme they learn about that subject, careers, and university life in general. Further details on the

- Nursing
- Pharmacy
- Psychology
- Social Work
Why apply?
By completing the Pathway Opportunity Programme, students may have the chance to:
- Receive a reduced grade conditional offer (where applicable).
- Receive a guaranteed conditional offer or a guaranteed interview.
- £1000 bursary, transition support and ongoing support while they are at Queen’s.
When to apply?
Online applications open on Monday 29th September 2025 and will close on Tuesday 4th November 2025 at noon.
