Applicant Information Day (Engineering and Physical Sciences) – Saturday 6 February, 10.00am – 4.00pm

The Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences are holding an Applicant Information Day* for students and their parents/guardians who have applied to the faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences.

Science at Queen’s – Thursday 4 March, 6.30pm – 8pm

This is an exciting time for school leavers to pursue a career in science-related fields. Salaries for Science graduates in Northern Ireland are currently starting from £18K (HESA, Higher Education Graduate Outcomes Statistics: UK, 2017/18 – Salary and location of leavers in employment)

This event is for parents/guardians and sons/daughters in years 11, 12 and 13 who have an interest in Science subjects. Attendees will have a unique opportunity to hear about some of the reasons why their son or daughter should consider a science degree. They will also hear from academics on our courses and employers, and have the opportunity to ask questions about the following subjects:

Archaeology and Palaeoecology, Biological Sciences, Biomedical Science, Chemistry, Geography, Mathematics, Pharmaceutical Sciences / Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Planning, Psychology, Physics                         Register now

 

Mental Health and Wellbeing: Enjoying the Journey – Tuesday 9 March, 6pm

Making decisions about your future is stressful: FACT. Dr Carolyn Blair, Research Fellow in SSESW, is on hand with practical advice about present-moment awareness. Don’t know what that is? Tune in and learn how to increase happiness, improve your productivity, reduce negative self-criticism, overcome indecision, reduce stress and help you to enjoy the journey to third level education.

Followed by a live Q&A session, but no need for cameras on, or active discussion, feel free to participate in whatever way works for you.

Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences Offer Holder Day – Saturday 13 March, 11am

This invitation only* offer holder visit day is for students who are currently holding an offer for a subject within the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences.

On the day you will have the opportunity to meet the academics on your course of choice, and find out more about your Undergraduate Degree including course content, hours of study, assessment methods and career opportunities.

The Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences is holding a virtual offer holder event*. This event is open to students who are currently holding an offer for one or more of the arts, humanities or social science subjects.

To help make your UCAS choices easier, this invitation only virtual offer holder event, will provide you with an opportunity to find out more details about your chosen degree, as well as chat with current student and meet the academics who will be teaching you.
