Role Overview

We are looking for students who want to be placed on the Higher Level Foundation Degree in Cyber Security & Networking Infrastructure.
Working within our Customer Support team you will use your expertise and knowledge to help solve problems for our valued customers. As a Technical Support Engineer you will:

  • Understand customer’s business objectives and impact using your technical expertise to resolve their issues and ensure customer success and satisfaction
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between Rapid7 and the customer
  • Follow up, test and troubleshoot issues as necessary on internal lab environments and customer hardware
  • Partner with our development teams to investigate and provide root cause analysis
  • Manage customers’ issues and keep them informed of progress on investigation
  • Collaborate with various internal departments advocating for your customer to assist them achieve their goals

Nice to Haves:

  • Previous experience in a customer facing role
  • Some knowledge or experience with any of the following:
    • OS Administration (Windows / Linux)
    • General networking troubleshooting
    • SaaS products (AWS, Azure etc)
  • Any relevant previous certification is a plus (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco etc.)


Essential Criteria:

  • Employment onto the apprenticeship program with Rapid7 is dependent on satisfaction of the entry requirements associated with the HLA Level 5 Cyber Security and Networking Infrastructure course at Belfast Met found here
  • Successful applicants must also be able to attend in-person lessons at Belfast Metropolitan College.
