Queen’s University Belfast are holding a Science at Queen’s Parents’ Evening
Date: Wednesday 11th March 2020
Time: 6.00pm to 9.30pm
Venue: Whitla Hall, Queen’s University Belfast
This event is targeted at students in years 11, 12 and 13 along with their parents/guardians who are currently studying or likely to study any of the following subjects:
Archaeology and Palaeoecology, Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Chemistry, Geography, Mathematics and Physics, Pharmacy, Planning or Psychology.
Science impacts on every part of our daily lives and the aim of this event is to dispel some of the myths that exist about pursuing a career in this field. There is high demand for graduates in NI, GB and globally, and starting salaries for Queen’s University graduates in these subjects currently start from £19k.
Students will have the opportunity to
- explore the range of science disciplines side by side
- hear from current students, graduates, and academic staff
- speak to representatives from a selection of companies to discuss opportunities both during study and after graduation
- attend scheduled subject talks
