ScreenWorks: Prosthetics and an online Game Producer work experience programme

ScreenWorks continues next week with two further opportunities for students to explore careers in the Northern Ireland screen industries.
Prosthetics, with the vastly experienced Clare Ramsey will take place in-person in Belfast while for students interested in the world of gaming, we have an online-only programme on being a producer for games. Both programmes run next Monday – Wednesday and further details of each are below.
Prosthetics with Clare Ramsey
Monday 7th – Wednesday 9th February – 10am – 4pm each day
Ages 14-19
This programme will look at:
- Introduction to casualty effects (bruising, wounds, burns)
- How to make your own prosthetic gelatine and blood
- Moulding and casting
- Creating characters
- The importance of a portfolio
Producing For Gaming with Leela Collins
Monday 7th – Wednesday 9th February – 10am – 4pm each day *ONLINE ONLY*
Ages 14-19
This programme will look at:
- Producer skills; Find out how to effectively plan and manage game development
- Industry overview; discover opportunities and potential games career paths
- Ideation techniques; for collaborative game design
- Create an idea for a game and learn how to pitch it
