St Mary’s University College, Belfast – Course Vacancies

Following the application deadline on 14 January, the College has reviewed the numbers applying for each undergraduate programme. It has been decided to continue to consider suitable applicants for some subject areas and extend the deadline for application. Details are provided below including the minimum expectation of A level grades for entry. The grades listed are a guide only and do not constitute final offer grades.

 In summary these are:

 BEd (Hons) Primary

 BEd (Hons) Primary with History (A level grades ABB or equivalent with grade B or above in History)

 BEd (Hons) Primary with Mathematics (A level grades ABB or equivalent with grade B or above in Mathematics)

 BEd (Hons) Primary with Music (A level grades ABB or equivalent with grade B in Music and grade 6 standard instrumental or vocal study). Acceptable alternative qualifications for A level Music include GCSE Music grade C or above combined with grade 5 Music Theory.

 Please also note minimum additional GCSE requirements for the BEd (Hons) Primary of English Language, Mathematics and Science grade C or above.

 BEd (Hons) Post-primary

 BEd (Hons) Post-primary with Mathematics and Science (A level grades BBB or equivalent with grade B or above in Mathematics and AS grade C or above in either Biology, Chemistry or Physics and GCSE Science Double Award grade BB).

 BEd (Hons) Post-primary with Technology and Design (A level grades BBC with grade B or above in Technology and Design or equivalent).

 Please also note minimum GCSE requirements English Language and Mathematics grade C or above.

BA (Hons) Liberal Arts

 BA (Hons) Liberal Arts with English (A level grades BCC with grade C in English Literature)

 Please also note minimum GCSE requirements of English Language and Mathematics grade C or above (or equivalent).
