Technical Apprentice – Pilgrim’s Europe, Craigavon

We are currently seeking to recruit a Technical Apprentice. The technical apprentice will provide technical systems and administrative support for Pilgrim’s Europe Group Technical Governance team while completing a Higher-Level apprenticeship in Food & Drink Manufacture (Foundation Degree/Level 5) with the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE).

The Technical Governance role will provide the apprentice the opportunity to develop a strong technical background in food safety & quality standards and operational compliance.

The Technical apprenticeship serves as a stepping stone for a career within Technical. Successful completion opens pathways to advanced qualifications and specialised roles within Pilgrims Europe. As you continue to grow, explore opportunities within technical across the group you will have the opportunity to continue your education working towards further qualification’s.

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum of two A-levels or equivalent qualifications (which could include a Level 3 Extended Diploma or Level 3 Apprenticeship) plus a minimum three GCSE or equivalent qualifications at Grade C or above including English Language, Mathematics and a science subject.
• Good English literacy, numeracy and verbal competency
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to take direction
• Ability to challenge others in a professional and constructive manner
• Self-motivated with a positive outlook

Desirable Criteria:

• Practical understanding and experience in the food manufacture or agriculture sectors
• IT experience
• Co-ordination experience
