UCAS Get Into Medicine Conference

Get Into Medicine Conference-340-340

Saturday 5th 2.00pm – 5.30 pm or Sunday 6th February from 9.30am- 1.30pm

If students have any questions about their subject choices, extra-curriculars for medical school, personal statement, UCAT, BMAT and interviews then please do encourage them to attend because we can clarify their doubts. These Get into Medicine conferences are essential to attend from an application knowledge perspective and also a wonderful motivational boost. Every student who attends the entire morning session will be awarded with a Certificate of Attendance which they can include in their UCAS application!

In addition to the morning UCAS conferences, students can also have access to Insight conferences that take place every Saturday afternoon from 14:00-17:30pm. These are great opportunities to learn about different medical specialties and speak to a variety of doctors. I understand that deciding to be a doctor is a very big decision, so it is important that students speak to as many different Medic Mentors as possible in order to help them make an informed decision.

This Saturday afternoon (5th February) from 14:00pm-17:30pm students will hear from:

A&E – Dr Elmahdi Darbi
Psychiatry – Dr Nikhita Handa
Trauma and Orthopaedics – Mr Joe Esland

as well as successful medical students. They can drop in and out of these meetings, but once again if they do stay for the entire session they will be awarded with a certificate that can be added to their portfolio of medical achievements!

These conferences are very much for parents as well as students and we are here to support the entire family!
