UCAT University Admission Test

UCAT-340

Students applying to a Medicine or Dentistry degree course for entry in 2021 need to ensure they book the UCAT test. Registration is now open and will close on 17th September 2020.

Most UK universities require applicants to sit an admissions test in addition to their other entry requirements. The UCAT is required by the majority of UK universities and must be sat in the summer of 2020 by students who want to apply to member universities for entry in 2021.

Important Dates for 2020

UCAT testing takes place between 3 August – 1 October 2020. The test cycle for 2020 is slightly shorter than normal and, although we anticipate good coverage across our UK test centres, we strongly advise candidates to book and test as early as possible this year.

Where can students sit the test?

This year students can sit the test at their nearest Pearson VUE test centre or at home (the UCAT online). Students should think carefully about where they want to test. We have published detailed Candidate Guides for each option and outlined the important aspects to consider on the UCAT 2020 page of our website.
