Ulster University: Embracing Talent (KS4/5)

Embracing Talent is a workplace readiness and personal development course. It is designed to help young people aged 16-18 to develop an understanding of and learn how to develop the ‘key skills’ essential for the workplace.
During this course participants will have the opportunity to take part in a series of interactive lessons covering a range of topics.
Lesson 0: Pre-programme evaluation
Lesson 1: Understanding who I am
Lesson 2: Time Management & Organisation
Lesson 3: Communication & Teamwork
Lesson 4: Leadership
Lesson 5: Commercial Awareness & Problem Solving
Lesson 6: Self Confidence & Adaptability
During each lesson you will be guided by University staff, industry employers and staff from our partners, Business in the Community and Career Ready.
We hope this course will help you understand what is required in the workplace as you progress on your journey to either Further and Higher Education or to the workplace.
