Ulster University – Health Sciences Insight Evening for Year 10 -12 students

Ulster University-340

Take your first step towards a career in healthcare by joining us on Wednesday 29 March for an inspiring and informative evening, hosted by the School of Health Sciences at our Magee campus.

Aimed at Year 10 – 12 students who are deciding their GCSE or A-level options, this insight event will help you understand which subjects you may need to consider studying if you would like to apply to our health sciences programmes. We have a wide range of degrees to choose from:

  • Diagnostic Radiography & Imaging
  • Health Physiology/Healthcare Science
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Physiotherapy
  • Podiatry
  • Radiography and Oncology
  • Speech and Language Therapy

Starting at 6pm, you will be welcomed into our Great Hall by the Head of School of Health Sciences Professor Danny Kerr. Danny will outline each of the degree programmes in an informal setting with refreshments provided. The talk will be followed by a tour of our teaching spaces, with the opportunity to talk to students from each of our courses. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit our podiatry clinic, where we treat people whose lower limbs have been affected by injury or illness.

Our lecturers will be on hand to show you around our fantastic facilities which include technology and practical suites and clinical settings. They will talk to you about choosing the right degree for you, and discuss which GCSEs/A-levels will set you on the right path for a career in healthcare. The evening will finish at 8pm.
