Ulster University’s Schools Outreach Academy, ulster.ac.uk/schoolsacademy have developed a new resource for Parents/Carers.
Prepping for Uni – Parents/Carers Guide
We recognise the transition from school or college to University can be filled with trepidation for many parents and carers. Navigating your way through the process of applying to University can be challenging. This resource area is designed to help parents/carers and their young person through that period of transition and is designed to demystify the process. It is full of guidance, useful reading, videos and links to websites and services we feel will be useful to you.
As with all our courses, parents can simply dip in and out of the resource and access the information relevant to them. The course is online and free.
To access the free online course, search for PREPPING at ulster.ac.uk/schoolsacademy
This course is aimed at parents of Year 13/14 pupils, we also believe it is very suitable to raise aspirations and understand pathways with our Year 10-12 pupils, to support making informed decisions about their future.
