Join this exciting and innovative Virtual Work Experience event, that will throw you into the role of an Environmental Manager, learning how to protect, preserve and promote the environment on projects worth Hundreds of Millions of Pounds! This experience would suit students with a key mind for Science, Technology, The Environment or Construction.

You’ll learn about the many different protected species found in the UK including snakes, otters and door mice and how these incredible animals must be protected or you could face the full force of the law!

Working as a team, you will tackle climate change head on and find innovative ways to reduce carbon emissions and save the world from the perils of climate change. Can you help the UK keep its commitment to limit climate change to an increase of 1.5 degrees C? We need young minds with fresh ideas, we need your expertise!

While time is of the essence and efficiency is key, you will be charged with ensuring the environment is protected from spills, pollution and irreversible damage, using your newly gained knowledge of the world of Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) you’ll be challenged with ensuring your construction site leaves the environment in a better state than when you arrived.

You’ll learn about the day-to-day role of an environmental manager, the paths to reaching this role and the role of the environment within construction.

As a team you’ll need to design a motorway construction project from the eyes of an environmental manager. You’ll be given the knowledge you need to make the right decisions and ensure you do your part in the fight to protect the environment. Successful teams will need to balance the environment with cost, time efficiency and practicality.

Are you up to the challenge? The world needs bright minds to protect it’s future, could that be you?
