Carefoot PLC-340

Duration: 1 Day      27th May 2021

Application Closing Date: 30th April 2021

This is an exciting opportunity for a student to experience the day-to-day operations of a Quantity Surveyor. You will have an opportunity to provide costings for a Real Life Project with Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust. Working with the main Construction Contractor for this live project, you will get a chance to work with a small group of students and will be given an opportunity to hear from the company’s own Quantity Surveyor and his career path.

The day will start with a live meet and greet of the project team from the Contractor, Consultants and the NHS Trust themselves, all of who are involved in the construction of this new part of the hospital. The team will explain what is being constructed, why and how. The project team will guide you on a live site tour of the construction project then you will be able to take part in an estimating activity to give you a taste of what the construction industry has to offer.

Whether you are interested in the construction industry and healthcare buildings or not, this placement is an ideal way to see a professional role within the construction sector and allow you to consider the skills which the industry and the job requires.

You will spend a morning with the Walter Carefoot and have the opportunity to present to the Employer to whom you will present your project.
