Please see the calendar below for the range of careers talks and workshops available at Western Health & Social Care Trust this Autumn.
These sessions are designed to support and enhance decision making for A’ Level (and equivalent qualifications) students considering careers in Health and Social Care. We encourage students to take these opportunities to find out more about their chosen professions, hear first-hand from WHSCT colleagues and explore different career pathways. Sessions are open to Year 13 and above (and equivalent) students but we ask that students choose carefully the sessions they wish to attend. I understand that a student may be undecided between a few professions but we would not expect students to select a high number of sessions; places on most sessions are limited so we may need to restrict attendance of students who have already benefited from other sessions.
The correct protocols for enquiring about work experience at the Western Health & Social Care Trust is via the school’s careers dept. Do not contact staff at WHSCT direct.
If any Year 13 or 14 pupils are genuinely interested in a career in Diagnostic Radiography (and is studying the correct subjects for entry) please express interest with Mrs McCaughey by Friday 26th September. Late applications will not be considered. Exact times to be confirmed but it will be either a 9:30am or 10:00am start. All online sessions will run for approx.. 1.5 hours with time for questions and answers from students at the end of each session.
