Work Experience Opportunities – BBC NI

These placements provide a taster experience of working within the BBC and broadcasting industry. It is aimed at individuals who want to work in the media and would like to find out more about the range of jobs potentially available. You’ll have the chance to see television and radio production first hand. You’ll spend time with those who produce and co-ordinate the content across TV, Radio and Online.
We have placements available in the following areas:
Connecting with BBC Radio Foyle (3 day placement – open to applicants 16 and over)
Successful candidates may spend time shadowing the staff working across various radio programmes in BBC Radio Foyle, from news to entertainment. Candidates may see the work that goes on behind the scenes and how each programme is produced.
Newsroom Belfast (open to applicants 16 and over)
The successful candidates will receive an overview in BBC News NI’s busy Belfast newsroom, spending time with our Digital News, TV News and Radio Current Affairs teams. It’s an ideal opportunity to see what goes on behind the scenes.
Further placements are available for those aged 18 and over
Opportunities available throughout November 2019 to February 2020
